This position is located in the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center-Behavioral Health in Fort Eisenhower, Georgia .
Position available for a full-time Clinical Psychologist at Fort Eisenhower, adjacent to Augusta, Georgia, famous for its major attraction, The Masters Golf Tournament. Ft Eisenhower has a moderate year-round climate and offers close proximity to metropolitan areas, beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and the Appalachian Mountains. The Augusta area is a growing community with an excellent quality of life. A wide variety of cultural and outdoor recreational activities are readily available locally, and many more are easily accessible from the coast to the mountains. Augusta has a vibrant professional medical environment, including the Medical College of Georgia and other referral medical centers. As a Clinical Psychologist you will:
Provide individual and group therapy, using various modalities as clinically indicated to include brief problem-focused psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and client-centered therapy.Assess acute mental health conditions in beneficiaries who present with such issues.Screen and interview patients, perform bio-psychological social evaluations using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to psychological counseling.Evaluate overall effectiveness of therapeutic efforts, and institute changes to increase effectiveness of therapeutic efforts.
Qualifications
%MCEPASTEBIN%US Citizenship requiredOne year experience as a Clinical PsychologistDoctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required. Candidates will have completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral graduate program and an APA accredited predoctoral internship.
