Job Title: Clinical Psychologist
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Location: 1603 Court Street Road, Syracuse, NY 13208
Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000
Full Time: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Flexible to meet the needs of the program

Our focus is supporting individuals through residential housing, mental health, and clinical services, and immersing our participants in community engagement. Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings.
Main Function:
With minimal supervision, as part of a leadership team, and in keeping with Agency policies, procedures, professional standards, and applicable regulations, you will use your own experience and judgment to carry out the mission of Children's Services, including CTTP, Children’s Intensive Respite, ABA, and Clinic. Responsibilities include oversight of assigned personnel, program budgets, provision of services, completing psychological assessments as needed, and developing new programs while growing current ones.
Duties:
+ Monitor the Provision of Services for Participants/Members
+ Provide oversight to coordinate program services, ensuring compliance with state guidelines and best practices.
+ Regularly communicate with participants/members and their families/advocates to monitor satisfaction and address any concerns.
+ Monitor the development and implementation of program standards and procedures, ensuring that safety and behavioral intervention procedures align with best practices.
+ Manage Program Expenses in Keeping with Budget Guidelines
+ Understand the departmental budget and assist in its development.
+ Monitor current contracts and spending.
+ Submit proposals for additional funding/grants as opportunities arise.
+ Ensure that participants' rights are protected regarding their money and personal possessions.
+ Maintain Appropriate Records and Prepare Necessary Reports
+ Ensure that all required documentation is completed and maintained per agency standards.
+ Review internal and external audit reports and ensure deficiencies are addressed. Monitor and follow up on audit trends.
+ Implement systems to measure quality initiatives and program outcomes.
+ Complete Psychological Assessments as Needed
+ Complete psychological assessments for participants.
+ Complete assessments for participant eligibility for OPWDD services.
+ Review and sign off on behavior plans as needed.
+ Supervision of Assigned Staff
+ Supervise the Program Director of Children's Services, ABA, and Clinic.
+ Implement a system for ongoing supervision meetings and department staff meetings.
+ Provide ongoing direction, support, and performance evaluations for assigned staff.
+ Address performance concerns and follow up with disciplinary action in collaboration with HR as needed.
+ Community and Teamwork
+ Establish and maintain rapport with OPWDD, CNY Developmental Disabilities Regional Office (DDRO), OMH, and other local providers.
+ Encourage linkages between assigned programs, other Agency services, and community service providers.
+ Work with the Chief Operating Officer to pursue opportunities to expand and develop services to meet the needs of individuals requesting or receiving services.
+ Follow Agency Standards and Procedures
+ Ensure department staff are trained on and follow Agency standards and procedures.
+ Ensure person-centered, quality services are provided by department staff.
Education & Experience:
NYS Licensed Psychologist required. At least 1 year working with people with disabilities preferred. 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
Conditions of Employment:
Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s license and have transportation necessary to meet departmental needs. Must have flexible schedule able to accommodate occasional early morning, evening or weekend commitments. Must participate and meet established requirements in a database check through the Division of Criminal Justice Services as defined by the State of New York, Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, Chapter 575 of the Laws of 2004.
