Produces radiographs of various portions of the body according to physician’s request.
Position Key Accountabilities:
\tDevelops radiographs using an automatic processor and checks for desired results.\tPrepares patients films for interpretation by radiologist.\tMaintains quality assurance on all radiological equipment.\tPrepares patient for radiographic procedures. \tAssists in the accurate timing and positioning techniques.\tMaintains and files radiology procedure paperwork.\tMaintains inventory supplies, coordinates student/patient room assignments in clinic. \tMust be able to respond to emergency situations.\tOther duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
Current licensure as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) by the Texas Medical Board and
Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
Minimum Education:
Graduate from an approved two year program in Radiologic technology.
Minimum Experience:
None.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
