Astria Health is seeking a Clinical Registered Dietitian to join our team! This is a Per Diem position. This position can accommodate being 100% remote.

This position serves as a nutrition expert for the organization and is responsible for educating patients about nutrition and administering medical nutrition therapy as part of the health care team. You will:
Performs as a member of the multidisciplinary care team, providing consultation to the medical team in the prescription of diets, nutritional assessments, and enteral and parental feedings.Conducts and documents nutritional screenings on acute care patients and recommends therapeutic diet orders to the physician for those at nutritional risk.Develops, implements, and monitors nutritional care plans for patients based on assessment of needs.Counsels patients and family members on nutritional principles, dietary plans, and food selection. Adapts plans to individual patient needs, lifestyle, and cultural eating preferences.Works collaboratively with dietary staff to meet the nutritional needs of individual patients with consideration of food preferences and dietary requests.Participates in discharge planning and care coordination. Provides home nutritional instruction and makes appropriate referrals based on individual patient needs.Plans, implements, and coordinates outpatient education programs, ensuring the needs of the community and providers are met.Develops, organizes, and conducts orientation and in-service education/training programs for professional and food service personnel.Works with Food Service Managers and staff in a consulting role, not limited to policy development, in-service education, and development and approval of therapeutic patient diets and menus.Participates in the Nutrition Supplement Formulary in collaboration with nursing, pharmacy, and medical staff.Ensures compliance with state, federal and regulatory agency requirements for facilities, care and staff.Performs other duties as assigned.Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.
What you bring to the role:
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) status through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CRD), or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) status obtained by end of probationary period. Certification in Washington state required.MS Office Suite skills, Internet and associated computer skills (intermediate skill level).Current BLS certification
