+ GENERAL SUMMARY + The Clinical Rehab Coordinator is responsible for the day to day operations of the adaptive seating clinic as well as providing occupational therapy services to an assigned patient load. Reports to department leadership. + ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Delivers occupational therapy services in accordance with AOTA’s standards and policies; the nature and scope of occupational therapy services must be in accordance with laws and regulations. + Assures continued competency by establishing, maintaining, and updating professional performance, knowledge, and skills. + Provides direction for certified occupational therapy assistant in a collaborative manner as defined by official AOTA documents and in accordance with laws and regulations. + Maintains current knowledge of legislative, political, social, cultural, and reimbursement issues that affect patients and the practice of occupational therapy. + Systematically assesses the efficiency and effectiveness of occupational therapy services and designs. + Implements processes to support quality service delivery. + Performs other duties as assigned. + LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS + Current state licensure as an occupational therapist. + MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS + Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment and modalities. + Knowledge and experience in the administration of a variety of assessment tools, treatment plans and equipment. + Previous experience in coordinating the operations of an adaptive seating clinic preferred. + WORKING CONDITIONS + Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, hazardous materials, radiation, radio nucleotides, medicinalpreparations, body fluids and other conditions common to the healthcare environment. Following proper safety and healthprocedures reduces potential for personal harm or injury.
