Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Coordinator to join our prestigious organization, which is at the forefront of cutting-edge oncology research. This role involves classic patient-facing duties, including screening, recruitment, managing source documentation, and documenting in EMR. You will work closely with a team that handles specimen collection and processing, ensuring protocol compliance, and collaborating with clinical staff for patient care.

ResponsibilitiesScreen, consent, and enroll patients in oncology trials and follow them through their course of therapy.Spend most of the time in clinic, seeing patients with doctors, attending patient visits, and ensuring questionnaires and research procedures are completed.Coordinate with clinic staff to schedule appointments such as EKGs or vitals.Ensure protocol compliance and that tasks are done within the correct timeframe.Interact with nursing staff and medical assistants.Collaborate with clinical staff to obtain insurance authorizations.Work with infusion nurses to schedule patient appointments.Manage patient-specific calendars and assist patients with different aspects of participation in the study.Essential SkillsMinimum 2 years of experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator.Experience in clinical research, pre-screening patients, oncology, chart review, patient recruitment, screening, consenting, and source documentation.Bachelor's degree.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong organizational skills.Ability to read protocols, notice side effects, and help patients deal with them.Experience in patient study enrollment.Work Environment

The work environment involves running various types of trials, including pharmaceutical-sponsored trials (Phase I, II, and some III), investigator-initiated trials, and trials supported by comprehensive cancer center grants. The clinical group is divided into disease teams, with clinical staff working in the cancer center and data management staff in a separate center. The role requires being on-site for office visits daily based on the clinic schedule, typically Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with some flexibility. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
