The Clinical Resource Coordinator coordinates and facilitates the Surgical Value Analysis Committee while promoting and maintaining quality outcomes as it relates to new product selection. Resource analyst is responsible for the monthly agenda and minutes, and follow up to all product requests.
This position acts as a professional/ clinical resource collaborating with Physicians, Clinicians, Purchasing, Vendors and staff. Position provides clinical product support to all surgical services department staff as needed, frequently setting up meetings to discuss requested products. Resource analyst is responsible for researching new product requests and their functional equivalents using various clinical and operational effectiveness applications as well as preparing a completed product analysis for the review of the Surgical Value Analysis Committee. This positon is responsible for the setup of product trials and evaluations, preference card and other system maintenance, analysis of specialty pack utilization, and the daily audit of Tissue Track Core as needed. Position attends and presents ad-hoc product requests at all General, Orthopedic and Spine Committee Meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN required. MSN Preferred. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: RN license required.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years as a Registered Nurse in Perioperative setting required. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications -- Excel, Word, Powerpoint as well as have excellent written and oral communication skills required. Possess the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with individuals or in a group setting on the clinical effectiveness of new products and technology required. Must be organized, detailed oriented and have good time management skills to succeed in a fast paced and ever changing work environment required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping and crouching a majority of the workday. Works with such equipment as, computer terminal, fax machine, printer and copier.
