Position Responsibilities:
Facilitates process improvements between Supply Chain Services and clinical care providers. Coordinates and monitors consultative team efforts, related to outcomes, product conversions, contracts, education and distribution process. Supports Supply Chain needs of physicians, nurses, and support staff within the hospital, improving financial outcomes, refining business processes and enhancing quality as it relates to supply and service procurement. Provides support to the Executive Director Clinical Resources & Value Analysis specific to Value Enhancement Programs and provides clinical input, advice, or oversight to maintain quality and financial integrity for surgical services and other clinical service departments. Maintains close working relationships with all Supply Chain leadership to determine appropriate pricing contract terms, current supply levels and stock/non-stock distribution options. Works with clinical staff as advised by the Clinical Resource Director or other Supply Chain leadership on medical device product selection and Value Analysis. Serves and supports relations with surgical services and other clinical procedural departments and patient care staff. Manages communications and supply management strategies with direction from the Clinical Resource Director or other Supply Chain Services leaders. Works with Surgical Services, other clinical procedural areas, and Supply Chain Services leadership to develop processes to better support organizational logistics, goals and objectives. Coordinates product evaluations and conversions by providing product information and support , via the Value Analysis process, to Surgical Services, Medical Staff and Supply Chain Services leadership. Assists and advises Supply Chain leadership to evaluate compliance, payments and Medical Center reimbursements as it applies to patient charges and supply management. Supports and advises sometimes as the primary point of contact for vendors and Medical staff in need of product and contractual information. Communicates with surgical services leadership and clinical departments about opportunities for cost reduction. Assists with the design and implementation of a variety of new quality assurance initiatives for surgical services such as inventory management initiatives, statistical reports, procedure manuals, case tracking reports and audits for Medical Center reimbursements as required. Recommends and help formulate improvements for Supply Chain Services. Assists with implementation with direction from Clinical Resource Director or Supply Chain leadership. Performs cost benefits and validation of cost savings initiatives and their expected impact on the surgical services or other clinical departments' budgets. Assists with information gathering to prepare Request for Proposals and solicit bids on surgical services good and services, if needed.Requirements
RN, Surgical Tech or Supply Chain experience desired Experience in Surgery - OR Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred Minimum of five years of clinical experience requiredBenefits:
