Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Manager of Clinical Risk and Patient Safety, the Clinical Risk and Patient Safety Analyst is responsible for assisting with and facilitating the Patient Safety and Risk Program Plan for the facility. Conducts and supports activities involving Patient Safety and Risk Management. Compiles, analyzes and evaluates data using investigative, statistical methods, benchmark data or other comparative measures. Supports and assists the Manager of Clinical Risk and Patient Safety by participating in the development, education and maintenance of the Patient Safety and Risk Management program.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required with clinical degree or other related field.Minimum two years of healthcare experience preferably in risk and patient safety management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Patient Safety and/or Risk Management training and certification desired (CPPS, IHI Executive Development) within twelve months of employment.
