3 Main is a 24 bed Inpatient/Acute Long Term Medical Surgical unit specializing in Wounds, Pressure Injury, Sepsis, Weakness/Decreased Strength, Cellulitis, Encephalopathy, Abscess/Bacteremia/Infections, Fractures, etc.  Nurses on this unit may work with Trachs, Peg/Feeding Tubes, HBO, Wound Therapy, IV Antibiotic Therapy, Hemovac Drains, JP Drains, etc. This family-oriented team works very closely with PT, OT, SLP and case The staffing is comprised of RNs, LPNs, PCAs and Unit Ambassadors. Staff believe teamwork is essential to providing excellent patient care. On this unit, you will find a warm group of professional, nurturing and clinically proficient individuals to assist you in adapting. 3 Main is well rounded and able to give compassionate care to patients with multiple medical needs.  

 

The leadership for this team includes the Nurse Manager and Charge Nurse. This team loves new grads and is very supportive of team members utilizing 3 Main to build a strong foundation and springboard into a specialty when the time is right (or to be like other nurses on our team and enjoy your career within our awesome unit).  Our acute/inpatient cases enables this unit to grow SRHS Strong RNs while striving to provide excellent, safe patient care!    

Position Summary

 

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse demonstrates thorough knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways/care maps, team dynamics, hospital systems, and serves as a resource for the registered nurse and support staff.  Collaborates with leadership in developing and implementing the Spartanburg Medical Center culture, Vision, Mission and goals.

It is the premise of the Professional Practice Program that each of the key responsibilities builds on the preceding requirements.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Education         

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

 

Experience        

Minimum of one year of recent R.N. experience within the past 5 years preferred. 

 

License/Registration/Certifications        

Current R.N. licensure in the state of South Carolina BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC

Assures continuity of care through effective decision making resulting in quality patient care Documents all aspects of patient care by following established charting procedure to show the patient’s progress or any change in the patient’s condition Other Duties as assigned
