The Division of Child and Family Services is recruiting for a Clinical Social Worker 2 located in Carson City, Fernley, Fallon or Yerington. This position will provide Intensive Family Services to families involved with the child welfare system in Nevada. Staff provide services for children and their parents and clinical case management to families. Incumbent will perform client evaluations and assessments through interviews and review of medical records; determine strengths, presenting problems, resources, and eligibility for applicable programs and services; and identify appropriate interventions. Perform crisis interventions including client restraint or appropriate behavioral and environmental controls for clients who may be hostile, combative, aggressive or assaultive; follow established protocols and policy in order to protect clients, staff, family, and others potentially at risk due to client behavior; recommend and complete documentation for voluntary and involuntary hospitalization.
