What we want The Clinical Social Worker MS II serves as a liaison between patients and physicians and community resources. This role functions as a social worker under supervision in a Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic. Required Education and Experience: + Master’s degree in applicable field in Counseling and Guidance, Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or other specialty related to job function + Four years of related experience in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or other specialty related to job function Required Licenses and Certifications: + Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Texas or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Must maintain licensure for continued employment Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others Preferred Qualifications: + Four years of relevant experience in social work/counseling experience in a clinical or school setting, private therapy setting, or related areas + Licensed Professional Counselor- Associate (LPC-A), Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) + Experience working with individuals and communities + Experience working within telehealth or a related field + Strong oral and written communication skills + Literacy and competency with utilizing technology + Strong organizational skills and flexibility Responsibilities: Clinical Services + Provides mental health services, social work, and clinical services, including detailed psychiatric evaluations incorporating a biopsychosocial history including risk assessment and recommendation for treatment. + Delivers evidence-based psychotherapy to patients using assessment tools to track patient progress and tailored intervention. + Assists with intake and referral systems needs of the program. + Provides evaluations and evidence-based treatment for patients. + Provides family and patient education. + Conducts therapy groups. + Provides treatment triage and work with other referring organizations and schools for providing better care. + Provides needed care for department of psychiatry’s grant funded projects. + Conducts workshops and seminars as needed. + Assists as the biopsychosocial expert in multidisciplinary care team. + Participates in community activities which promote health care. + Provides expert knowledge of community resources to coordinate transitions of care. + Documents services and activities per department standards and assist with program evaluation activities to track and analyze utilization and effectiveness of services Compliance + Ensures compliance with applicable regulations including HIPAA and FERPA. + Documents services and activities per department standards and assists with program evaluation activities to track and analyze utilization and effectiveness of services. + other duties as assigned.
