Clinical Specialist

Cardinal Health Canada, with over 1,300 employees nationwide, is an essential link in the Canadian healthcare supply chain, providing over 70,000 products to healthcare facilities and medical professionals across the country.

The role of the Clinical Product Specialist for Cardinal Health Canada is a pivotal one that provides additional value to our customers within the healthcare space. The team environment is creative, fresh and innovative. The successful candidate is responsible for achieving annual sales and profit objectives through the development, maintenance, and enhancement of key customer relationships. The candidate will be working closely with the sales representatives within their regions to strategically offer educational programs and support to drive additional revenue. This is an 18-month contract opportunity, supporting Ontario region (main support GTA/Western ON)

Your contributions to the organization will be:

Executing sales and marketing strategies within the territory, conducting sales calls to key customers.

Completing weekly reports, plans of action, expense reports

Completing territory analysis and strategic business planning.

Effectively acquire and communicate appropriate technical, therapeutic, disease state and product information to the customer in order to successfully promote the use of “focused” products in the territory.

Planning, coordinating and facilitating "speaking engagements" with our supplier partners as required

Attending training programs, conventions, and tradeshows

Providing customer support from a clinical perspective for new and existing customers

Conducting effective product presentations to customers as required

Aligning clinical protocols to national guidelines and work with customers and supplier partners to customize and provide customer education

This job might be for you if:

Clinical degree such as RN, NP, RPN/LPN, Health Sciences

BSc with minimum 3 years clinical experience in healthcare setting (preferred)

Sales Experience strongly preferred

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Excellent communication (oral and written), presentation and interpersonal skills

A track record of exceptional performance

Competitive spirit, results oriented

Must work well under pressure

Familiarity with distribution model

~30% travel requirement. Candidate is expected to travel within their territories (Ontario Focus)

Solid clinical background with strong business acumen

Ability to align clinical practices and understanding to our products
