Clinical Supervisor

The Supervisor of the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (serving both Adult and Child clients) is responsible for providing leadership, oversight, and supervision of clinical services, staff performance, and program operations. The Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality, person-centered, culturally competent mental health services and in achieving clinic productivity targets. This position reports directly to the Senior Behavioral Health Officer and collaborates with administrative, clinical, and quality assurance teams.

Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions of Position Provide direct clinical supervision to assigned clinicians, including LMSWs, LMHCs, and LCAT in accordance with OMH and standards. Facilitate weekly supervision meetings to support clinical growth, case formulation, documentation, and risk management. Oversee clinical documentation, including treatment plans & progress notes, to ensure compliance with HSSV policy and regulatory requirements. Support licensure attainment and professional development of clinicians through mentorship, training, and performance feedback. Monitor and track staff productivity, client engagement, and documentation compliance using EHR data, dashboards, and performance reports. Ensure that assigned clinicians meet monthly productivity and client engagement targets Conduct regular reviews of clinician schedules to confirm adequate appointment volume to achieve productivity benchmarks. Work collaboratively with clinicians to minimize no-shows and cancellations through improved scheduling practices, client engagement, and follow-up protocols. Collaborate with QA/QI and data teams to address performance issues and implement corrective action plans when necessary. Coordinate with intake and front desk teams to ensure timely assignment and onboarding of new clients. Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences, utilization reviews, and staff meetings. Assist with scheduling, caseload assignment, and staff coverage to ensure clinic operations run smoothly and clients receive timely care. Identify and escalate high-risk clinical or operational issues to the Senior Behavioral Health Officer. Ensure services are delivered in accordance with OMH regulations, HIPAA, Justice Center guidelines, and HSSV policies. Participate in internal audits, chart reviews, and outcome measurement projects. Support implementation of quality improvement initiatives and best practices to enhance client care and clinic performance.
