Clinical Supervisor
Overview The Clinical Supervisor of IDD services is a dynamic position that requires the ability to support a diverse IDD caseload. This position will work with the team in the individual’s home, community and/or facilities. The person in the position will be expected to make decisions on a daily basis consistent with the organization's values. The position is typically full time salaried exempt however can be offered on a part time hourly basis. Responsibilities CBC Value: Safety ENSURE SERVICE QUALITY Ensure continuity of care for persons served including authorizations, annual documentation to support ongoing maintenance of services Monitor adherence to plan of care including utilization and service provision On-site, in-home visitation, depending upon service requirements to ensure environmental safety and service compliance Review service documentation for billing Communicate proactively with individuals served, family members, and other stakeholders to solicit input and feedback on the quality of care Document progress and submit documentation in a timely manner based on payer and state requirements. Monitor and support the safety and well-being of persons served and staff, including crisis response and required documentation Maintain current knowledge of state and federal regulatory and service requirements CBC Value: Integrity SUPERVISION Provide regular, face-to-face training with staff on required documents Ensure staff are trained in person-specific competencies per service needs Coordination of service delivery to include persons served, family members, and staff Work directly with consultants to ensure required reports and documentation is completed CBC Value: Teamwork PERSON CENTERED SUPPORTS and STAFFING Submit requisition for open coverage in iCIMS Interview screened candidates to determine best match for people served Coordination of family/recipient interviews Review and train staff on person specific competencies Scheduling authorized services for service recipient SERVICE PLANNING/GOAL DEVELOPMENT Family Focused and Caring Participate in collaborative team meetings to support the development of long-term goals and develop short range goals to align with long range goals. Develop support plan based upon needs, desires and preferences of person served Ensure plan is current and authorized by payer before service delivery, including all plan components and assessments Ensure documentation regarding progress towards goals per service requirements Communicate with the care team to ensure the plan meets the needs of the person served. Monitor utilization to ensure authorized units meet the person’s needs. Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient with standard office productivity software and tools Ability to work independently and as a part of a team and manage time effectively Valid Driver's License with Reliable transportation Acceptable background check Meet State Specific Requirements to supervise Direct Support Professionals (Paraprofessional) NC Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in human services with two years of full-time with the population served; or Bachelor’s Degree in non-human service field with four years of full-time experience with the population served; or Master’s Degree in human services field with one year of full-time experience with the population served VA Requirement: Supervision of developmental services shall be provided by a person with at least one year of documented experience working directly with individuals who have developmental disabilities and holds at least a bachelor's degree in a human services field such as sociology, social work, special education, rehabilitation counseling, nursing, or psychology. Experience may be substituted for the education requirement. 12VAC35-105-590 "Qualified developmental disabilities professional" or "QDDP" means a professional who (i) possesses at least one year of documented experience working directly with individuals who have developmental disabilities; (ii) is one of the following: a doctor of medicine or osteopathy, a registered nurse, a provider holding at least a bachelor's degree in a human service field including sociology, social work, special education, rehabilitation engineering, counseling, or psychology; and (iii) possesses the required Virginia or national license, registration, or certification in accordance with his profession, if applicable. 12 Va. Admin. Code § 30-122-20 FL Requirement: Supervision of developmental services shall be provided by a person with at least one year of documented experience working directly with individuals who have developmental disabilities and holds at least a bachelor's degree in a human services field such as sociology, social work, special education, rehabilitation counseling, nursing, or psychology.
