Clinical Supervisor-Per Diem

The Clinical Supervisor Per Diem is a part-time supervisor responsible for providing supervision to emerging clinicians who require supervision in order to earn their clinical license. He/she works directly under the supervision of the Director and Program Managers. Supervisors provide scheduled supervision and occasional consultation to their supervisees, and share responsibility for communicating about themes in the clinical work with program administrators.    The salary for this role is $100.00 per hour.


How You'll Be Making a Difference
Supervision of the clinical services provided by Wediko at the Home for Little Wanderers NY staff shall consist of contact between the applicant and supervisor during which:
• the applicant apprises the supervisor of the diagnosis and treatment of each client;
• the applicant’s cases are discussed;
• the supervisor provides the applicant with oversight and guidance in diagnosing and treating clients;
• the supervisor regularly reviews and evaluates the professional work of the applicant;
In addition, the Clinical Supervisor provides consultation to administrators on clinical impact of various program policies and practices on both clients and staff team (parallel process) via monthly Clinical Supervisor meetings (via conference call) with Program Director and Program Managers.

Qualifications

Prior to supervising the applicant, the supervisor must meet the requirements in Education Law, or the equivalent as determined by NY State. Supervision of applicants for the LCSW must be provided by: An LCSW licensed in New York State A Psychologist who, at the time of supervision of the applicant, was licensed as a psychologist in NY State A Physician who, at the time of supervision of the applicant, was a diplomate in psychiatry of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. A supervisor may not have a familial relationship with the applicant, as such dual relationships may constitute a charge of unprofessional conduct under the Education Law and Regents Rules.

Abilities Required

Ability to meet in person or via phone/teleconference for a minimum of one hour per week per supervisee during the school year (September 1st – June 30th.)
