What you will do:
Records patient history while following JCAHPO / M Physicians guidelinesTests and records basic Visual Assessment tasks with patientsAssists with testing including Visual Fields, Pupillary Assessments, Lensometry, Keratometry, and supplementary testingSchedules initial and follow-up appointments, including labsAssists with minor procedures and administers eye dropsAssists with overall clinic flow and patient satisfactionWhat you will need:
As a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT): JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) and two years of clinical experience in Ophthalmology as a COT or COAAs a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA): JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) and two years of clinical experience in OphthalmologyAs a Non-certified Ophthalmic Assistant (OA): One year of clinical experience in Optometry/Ophthalmology and the ability to obtain Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification within 2 years of hire is requiredAs a Visit Facilitator: In the absence of a certification or license, a high school diploma or GED and 1+ year of customer service experience is requiredIf selected for hire, compensation and job classification will be individually determined based on a candidate’s specific background, including licensure, certifications, and experience level.
