This position is located in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The position reports to Project Manager. Responsibilities include working on the Electronic Health Record System (EHRS) clinical implementation team. Statewide travel is required. Travel will be reimbursed through completion of COV travel reimbursement form. All COV travel regulations must be followed.
Duties and Responsibilities
The EHRS MU/Clinical Implementation Analyst
• Will provide experiences and insights on how best to design, build train and implement the EHRS.
• Works closely with the vendor implementation team to implement best practices and knowledge transfer to the internal DBHDS clinicians.
• Ensure that current education and change management activities continue to be executed throughout the DBHDS hospital system.
• Manages clinical process and oversees development of standard workflows to facilitate MU compliance within a multi hospital Behavioral Healthcare environment
• Create accurate project documentation
KSA’s and/or Competencies required:
Required:
The EHRS MU/Clinical Implementation Analyst
1. 5-7 years EHR design, build, testing and training for a hospital system to include creation of computerized EHR forms, reports, work flows and clinical requirements.
2. Must be able to conduct “Train the Trainer” training for clinical personnel.
3. Experience in developing technical design/specifications, course material for clinical training.
4. The ability to learn IBM Blue Works Live work flow documentation.
5. Experience in Crystal Report writing or the ability to learn in a compressed time frame.
Desired:
The EHRS MU/Clinical Implementation Analyst
1. RN, LPN or other clinician with experience as an EHR implementation analyst.
2. Experience with health care applications in a Behavioral Health.
3. Siemens implementation experience.
• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science, computer information systems, or management information systems is generally preferred. Knowledge of the limitations and capabilities of computer systems and of the techniques used in the design of non-automated systems, of information technology equipment, of applicable programming languages, of computer hardware and software, of computer operating systems, of writing program code, and of automated mapping. Ability to analyze
systems and procedures, to write and revise standards and procedures, to communicate effectively, and to train others.
