Clinical Team Lead Job, Variable Day and Evening Shifts, Med Surg 4 South Renal and Med Surg 4 North
Powers Health is hiring a Clinical Team Lead for 4 South Renal and 4 North to work days and evenings at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.
4 South Renal performs therapeutic treatments and cares for patients with various diseases, diagnosis, or conditions which include but are not limited to: Diabetes, renal failure, pneumonia, electrolyte imbalance, CVA, cardiovascular-ASHD, CHF, Hypertension, COPD, Fever, Dehydration, Gastrointestinal conditions, Wound infection, and general surgical cases.
The 4 North Unit is a 24 hour medical/surgical unit located on the fourth floor of the hospital. Patients over the age of 12 years may be admitted to this unit; however the average age is 65. Most common types of patients admitted to 4 North include patients with respiratory conditions, fever, dehydration, renal failure, electrolyte imbalance, gastrointestinal conditions, post CVA, wound infection, orthopedic cases and general surgical cases.
Clinical Team Lead Roles and Responsibilities:
In addition to the duties, responsibilities and expectations outlined in the Staff Nurse job description, the Clinical Team Leader is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, organizing, directing and supervising unit activities under the direction of the Nurse Managers. Help support and develop new initiatives on both the 4 South Renal and Med Surg 4 North units. Provide clinical and administrative support structure for the units. Engage the staff in quality improvement and guide in staff development and process change. Support new and current care programs by participating in unit council and providing continued clinical input.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau. BSN desirable. Medical Surgical or Telemetry charge nurse experience required. Certification in specialty area required or earns within one year of accepting position. Successful completion of The Community Healthcare System’s Personnel and Nursing Orientation Programs. Current BLS provider. Current certifications required for specialty area (i.e. CPR, ACLS) Additional future certifications as directed/required.
