Clinical Team Lead Job, Monday-Friday 11a-7:30p, Oncology
Powers Health is hiring a Clinical Team Lead for Oncology to work days and evenings at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.
The goal of the Medical Oncology department is to provide continuous, efficient care to patients requiring services for cancer or hematologic diseases. The department is dedicated to supportive services that meet the needs of the patient population served in the least obtrusive way possible. This is accomplished through a multi-disciplinary approach that is progressive and tailored to each patient's need.
Clinical Team Lead Roles and Responsibilities:
In addition to the duties, responsibilities and expectations outlined in the Staff Nurse job description, the Clinical Team Leader is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, organizing, directing and supervising unit activities under the direction of the Nurse Manager. Help support and develop new initiatives on Oncology. Provide clinical and administrative support structure for the units. Engage the staff in quality improvement and guide in staff development and process change. Support new and current care programs by participating in unit council and providing continued clinical input.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana Bachelor Degree Preferred Previous management experience a plus Minimum of 5 years clinical experience, 10 years preferred Excellent patient assessment and critical thinking skills Required self-direction, leadership, delegation and teaching ability Communicates tactfully and effectively with physicians, patients, families, nursing staff and other hospital departments and the public. Conveys a positive attitude and image internally and in the community. Ability to analyze and creatively solve patient care issues in a proactive and positive manner. Exhibits innovative ideas for nursing advancement. Demonstrates a professional, positive, flexible and open-minded manner with a willingness and desire to “go the extra mile” Current BLS provider Certification in specialty area required or earns within one year of accepting the position.
