Qualifications
Six (6) months recent hospital or surgery center experience as an Endoscopy Tech.BLS certification is required.Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing clearly concisely and accurately.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Ability to operate common office equipment including computers.Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures.Certified Endoscopy Tech preferred.Successful completion of Clinical Technician Program or related work experience preferred.

Clinical Tech - Gastro-Intestinal Services
St. John's Hospital Camarillo
St. John's Hospital Camarillo is seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Technician to join our esteemed Gastrointestinal (GI) Department. As a Clinical Technician specializing in GI procedures you will play a vital role in assisting healthcare professionals and providing exceptional patient care. If you have a passion for gastrointestinal healthcare possess excellent technical skills and thrive in a fast-paced medical environment we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.
Demonstrates basic patient care skills including but not limited to patient hygiene (bathing grooming oral and perineal care back rubs); takes vital sign weights accurately measures I&O documents appropriately on designated forms; ambulates lifts moves and transports patients; positions patients and performs range of motion exercises.Maintains supplies for procedures before leaving end of shift.Collects and delivers urine and stool specimens according to current procedures.Responsible for care and maintenance of Automated Endoscope Reprocessors including monitoring and changing of high level disinfectant; testing and documentation of disinfectant efficacy; changing of disinfectant and troubleshooting AER problems.Performs set up and breakdown of procedures in GI procedure rooms.Assists with ordering and restocking of supplies.Assists in the recovery area: document vitals and retrieve clothes.Qualifications
