BASIC FUNCTION:

Performs duties which assist with the performance of patient care. A Clinical Tech is a non-licensed person who performs clerical, clinical, and related duties in the Imaging division/unit under the direction of a Registered Technologist. A Clinical Tech has had training in Medical Technology and Terminology with responsibilities to observe, monitor, and respond appropriately to potential patient emergencies. Responsible for checking emails and online learning assignments (Relias) on a regular basis. Cross-training between roles is expected. Respond to patient requests and call lights.
  EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: High school graduate, or equivalent, with the ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology.  Age 18 or older.  Secretarial and medical experience preferred.  Medical terminology preferred. BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required within the first 3 months. Must be computer-literate to complete the task(s) as required. Such as MediTech (Hospital Support Software), Halogen (performance appraisal system), Relias (education system), ability to retrieve e-mails, complete online enrollment for health insurance/benefits and any other programs as assigned
