Assesses treatment planning and progress. Prepares treatment plan and goals for each individual patient/resident. Provides crisis, assessments and intervention. Maintains pertinent patient data in medical record in accordance with state and guidelines. Offers in-service education programs and functions as a resource to other staff and the community as needed. Participates in development and selection of patient education materials and services. Provides individual, family, and group therapy for residents and assists other staff with group materials. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Investigates case situations and presents information to Psychiatrist and other members of health team, on patient's family and social background pertinent to diagnosis and treatment. Helps patients to respond constructively to treatment and assist in adjusting leading to and following discharge. Interprets psychiatric treatment to patient's family and helps to reduce fear and other attitudes obstructing acceptance of psychiatric care and continuation of treatment. Serves as link between patient, psychiatric agency, and community. Works directly in treatment relationship with patients, individually or in groups, in consultation with Psychiatrist and program coordinator. Education and Experience Master's degree in Behavioral Health field and appropriate level of field experience and coursework. Certification/Licensure Licensed in one of the three state licenses (LMFT, LCSW, LPC) or a higher designation.
