Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Join our team as a Clinical Trials Nurse in our GI Surgery Ambulatory Services. We're looking for a dynamic nursing professional eager to showcase compassionate, evidence-based nursing care skills and make a meaningful impact.
Role Overview:
Work within a Nurse-Physician/APP based Ambulatory Care Practice ModelProvide clinical support to staff members, and assist with the management of a caseload of Surgical Oncology patientsFacilitate the accrual of appropriate patients to clinical trials.Coordinate patient care activities and conduct studies for patients enrolled in clinical trials.Educate patients and their families regarding clinical trials in general and the specifics of the proposed clinical trial.Provide as an integral member of the clinical research team to research study participants' direct nursing care, patient and study assessments, education, and patient/ family support.Collaborate with the principal investigator to review new protocols from a nursing perspective and participate in a multidisciplinary discussion for approval.Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care to patients throughout various stages of treatment on protocol and follow-up.Key Qualifications:
New York State RN license and BSNThree years clinical Nursing experienceOncology nursing experience preferredClinical research nursing experience preferred, but not vitalProficiency with clinical and office software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)BCLSCore Skills:
