This is a full-time dayshift position that allows the successful candidate to work directly with the Unit Director to support in unit leadership. This is a great way to prepare yourself for a career in nursing leadership! The Clinician will be required to work occasional weekends and evenings, but no holidays!
The Clinician is a nurse leader who fosters excellence in patient care. As a role model for professional nursing practice, the Clinician plays a crucial role in:

+ Practices participatory leadership.
+ Assumes formal responsibilities.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
+ Master’s degree preferred.
+ BS/BSN required. If the BS degree is not in nursing, a Master’s or higher degree in Nursing is required. *Note – if you do not currently have a BSN but are open to earning your degree, you may still be considered for this position!
+ Demonstrated competence as a Professional Staff Nurse.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Ability to provide care and interact appropriately with patients of different age groups.
+ Knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan.
+ Establish and maintain positive relationships with executives, managers, physicians, and other staff.
+ Work effectively in a complex environment, handling multiple priorities and specialized equipment.
+ Exemplary clinical judgment and critical thinking skills related to patient care.
**Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
+ Current licensure as a Registered (RN) in the practicing state. National Certification preferred.
+ CPR certification required based on AHA standards (including didactic and skills demonstration components) within 30 days of hire.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
**Additional Notes:**
+ For facilities in states covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state is acceptable.
+ Employees with an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is located have 60 days to apply for licensure within that state.
