3370 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY, USA | Family Enrichment | Salary | 48,000-53,700 per year Depending on Experience | Full Time | Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, 403B, Paid Holidays Overview Catholic Charities of Buffalo is seeking a full-time Clinician (35 hours per week) for our Family Enrichment Department, with the Traditional, Kinship and Refugee Preventive Programs in Buffalo, NY. The ideal candidate will provide clinical services to clients involved in the child welfare system through our Traditional Preventive and Kinship Preventive programs, utilizing the Solution Based Casework Model. This role requires ongoing collaboration with the Erie County Department of Social Services, with a focus on child safety, permanency, and well-being. Job Responsibilities + Initiates contact with the client, accurately assesses service needs + Develops treatment plans, individual, family or groups, based on accurate assessment + Defines problem areas, with a focus on behavior change , and demonstrates incumbent's role in treatment process + Makes appropriate referrals and follows up + Takes the initiative where appropriate , such as reach-out advocacy + Maintains a working relationship with community resources for accurate service delivery + Develops further resources as needed + Participates in community affairs which relates to agency programs and goals + Participates on special agency committees + Meets quantitative expectations established by the agency + Utilize Case Management database to input units of service + Utilize Connections computer system to maintain client notes + Actively works with Department of Social services to maintain that all contract needs are being met with clients + Exemplify Catholic Charities' mission, vision, guiding principles and policies and procedures + This hybrid will have the ability to work from home, with regular travel to serve clients throughout Erie County required . + Perform other duties as requested by the Program Supervisor . Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Social Work , Mental Health Counseling, or a related field ( Master's Degree preferred). + Some experience working with children and families, particularly those involved in the child welfare system. + Ability to exemplify a culture of sensitivity and promote equity and inclusion in all aspects of service. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written). + Well-developed interviewing techniques. + Demonstrates initiative, agility, and innovation, with effective organizational and time management skills to work independently while producing results and meeting deadlines. + Ability to engage and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders in a collaborative setting. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). + Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. + Must have reliable transportation and a valid NYS driver's license for required travel. + Flexibility to accommodate client needs beyond standard business hours as necessary.
