Everyday as a Clinician you will....

Conduct Functional Behavior AssessmentsDevelop, implement and monitor treatment plans and interventionsFacilitate individual and Family Therapy sessionsProvide Functional communication TrainingCollaborate with all members of the multi-disciplinary treatment teamServe as an Autism Coach within Devereux's PBIS model, engaging in training and consultation with direct care staffCollect and analyze data

The Clinician role is a full-time position working within a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility for Children ages 6-21 years with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities located in West Chester, PA.  Our residential programs provide each child, and their families, with the skills and resources needed to reach the greatest level of personal happiness and success. Our residential homes and cottages reflect a warm, home-like setting. This approach not only provides a safe, dignified environment for the children, but it also offers opportunities for experiential learning, where children can practice life skills needed as an adult, from cooking and cleaning, to positive communication, conflict resolution, cooperation and compromise.

 

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and  approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.  

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION: M.A./M.S. in Clinical Counseling, School Psychology, or related psychological field. Educational training meets standards for providing clinical services in Pennsylvania under supervision.

 

EXPERIENCE: Experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and two years experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities required. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines. Valid driver's license must be maintained
