Clinician Educator Faculty Position in Rheumatology - Junior rank

The Division of Rheumatology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Rheumatology.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching residents, fellows, and medical students. Selected candidates will have opportunities to participate in the Perelman School of Medicine's outstanding educational programs at the UME, GME or post-graduate level.
Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient care in the ambulatory practice and/or inpatient care at hospitals within Penn Medicine.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical or basic research and is expected and will depend on the specific training and experience of the applicant. Scholarship is required in the Clinician Educator track.
The successful candidate will have a research focus and clinical interest that leverages and enhances the existing expertise and resources in one of the Division’s subspecialty centers of excellence, including in myositis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, Sjögren’s disease, spondyloarthropathy, and vasculitis, or will bring new research methods, clinical expertise, or educational initiatives that expands the Division’s academic programs.
