The RN Orthopedic Nurse Navigator works closely with medical staff, administrative staff, physician staff, nursing staff, surgical staff, and multi-disciplinary staff to effectuate this program and develop a long term approach to ensure an uneventful and successful progression for the patient through the entire surgery process including patient optimization, pre-op and post-operative follow-up care. Assists the Unit Director with process improvement measures for patient satisfaction scores and quality measures
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
License/Certification and/or Registration: Current Alabama Nursing License required. BLS certification is required.
Experience: Previous nursing experience in a critical care setting preferred. Previous nursing experience in a critical care setting preferred.
Additional skils: Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
