We are growing our Engineering Systems Services team within the Digital Enterprise Services IT organization to enhance the company’s IT systems, applications, and processes. Our engineering culture will empower you to make effective decisions, work collaboratively, and take accountability for engineering projects at the core of the company.   

The team is seeking an experienced Jira and Confluence Administrator to help guide this team in their journey towards becoming a world-class engineering team. 

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, and administer Jira and Confluence, part of the Atlassian product suiteInteract and support customer’s ad-hoc questions through Slack and other platformsAssist customers with board configurations and tune JQL queriesInvestigate and remediate customer access and permissions issuesHelp customers with plug-in usage related questionsInstall, test and implement new versions of tools and apps in Jira and ConfluenceCreate simple Jira workflows including project workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemesTroubleshoot integrations to Jira and Confluence from numerous external systemsTake corrective action to avert system degradations or possible outages from OS and application layerAssist with application and plug-in testingFollow documented Jira and Confluence best practices and policiesCoordinate and collaborate with multiple teams in investigating problems and provide root cause analysis during major and critical outagesIdentify and lead the Atlassian team for continuous improvement activities and initiatives towards operational excellence and enrich customer experience

Preferred Qualifications

7 to 9 years of experience in Atlassian productsFoundational understanding of Jira and ConfluenceDeals well with ambiguous or undefined problems; ability to think abstractly and guide others. Great interpersonal skills Ability to articulate technical topics to non-technical audiences both in writing, and in diagrams and person. Willing to flex your behavioral style to meet the needs of the team or work at hand. Confident of your skills, abilities and willing to share what you know, while learning from othersFamiliarity with agile methodologies and ability to work in a scrum team.Skills and Experience (Preferred)Experience with Jira Service DeskKnowledge of Atlassian marketplace plugins and tools and integrationsHands-on experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS) Experience in Vault and CI/CDExperience with various database technologies (PostgreSQL)EducationBachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related quantitative field or equivalent experience
