Cloud Application Analyst

Senior Cloud Platform Analyst responsible for managing Kubernetes and OpenShift environments, supporting enterprise cloud-based infrastructure, automating deployments, and ensuring system reliability, security, and performance for the Government of Alberta.
Must-Have Skills Minimum 3 years of experience directly managing Kubernetes environments. managing a production service in an enterprise using cloud-based infrastructure and/or Infrastructure as Code (IaC). supporting Linux operating systems. performance monitoring and troubleshooting in a production environment. Minimum 2 years of experience replicating environments (either manually or through Infrastructure as Code). working in or for the public sector. directly managing Red Hat OpenShift environments. Disaster Recovery architectures, processes, and tests. Minimum 1 year of experience as a DevOps Specialist supporting the continuous delivery of custom-built solutions. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows. Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Helm. Responsibilities Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters (both on-premise and cloud-based). Support Linux-based environments, ensuring security, stability, and optimization. Automate provisioning, scaling, and infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Monitor system health, performance, and capacity across environments. Troubleshoot and resolve cluster and application issues efficiently. Implement security best practices, including RBAC, encryption, and regular patching. Support DevOps teams in application deployments and CI/CD processes. Maintain system documentation and knowledge sharing within the team. Develop and execute Disaster Recovery plans and high availability strategies. Work within public sector regulations and best practices, particularly in large-scale government environments. #LI-CC1
