Title:
Cloud ArchitectKBR is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support one of our government customers in Chantilly, Virginia. The Data Engineer utilizes a diverse range of data-focused skills, experience, deep technical and analytical problem-solving, and team-centered solutions for complex problems to satisfy priority information-enabling operations. This position requires solid attributes for problem solving, data analysis, troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and experimentation, often under-time time-sensitive decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with:
Develop, deploy, and maintain a secure cloud environment hosting a secure Digital Engineering Environment (DEE) for developing and testing the tasks, collecting, processing, exploiting, and disseminating (TCPED) tools.Migration to and maintenance of data storage, processing, exploitation, and dissemination in a Cloud (AWS or other) environment.Lead customer migrations to the cloud, including inception/strategy development, design, set-up/implementation, and operations.Maintain the DevOps environment to support continuous development and integration (CI/CD) and the operational environment to maintain operational software capabilities.Deploy data management tools to enable the DEE to host all technical and non-technical data with appropriate access permissions.Drive architecture solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform/commercial cloud services (C2S); utilizing AWS capabilities.Provide AWS troubleshooting & support. Provide continual solutions ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and supportability of cloud solutions.Demonstrated experience utilizing the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform with a specialized focus on AWS capabilities, with expertise in virtualization, migrations, and automation.Demonstrated experience performing Cloud Assessments and developing AWS Architecture Designs and Migration Strategies.Well-versed in building AWS infrastructure and implementing deployment processes, CI & CD.Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of AWS services (ELB, EC2, ECS or EKS, ECR, S3, SQS, SNS, SSM, Secrets Manager, KMS, RDS, S3 IAM, Autoscaling, CloudWatch, CloudFront, CloudTrail, Config, Inspector, WAF, etc.).Experience working with distributed systems. Demonstrated experience facilitating migrations to AWSTravel: CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required. (10%)
