Cloud Center of Excellence Lead
The Center of Excellence Lead is responsible for ADM’s Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE). ADM’s Cloud CoE is accountable for defining and Governing ADM’s Cloud Strategy, governance, and decision-making processes. It is also the organization dedicated to fostering development of new cloud services and capabilities for ADM to consume. All major decisions and project activities related to cloud roll up to the Cloud CoE at ADM.
The Cloud CoE is accountable for pursuing the imperatives of Cloud Financials Management and Optimization, Cloud Security, Cloud Automation, and Innovation. It drives major decision topics in areas such as multi-cloud.
The lead needs to understand financials management deeply, and demonstrate an understanding of how to drive increased value and lower costs from ADM’s cloud investments. He or she will need to understand and drive the Cloud Strategy for ADM overall.
The Cloud Center of Excellence Lead must be proficient in skills of technology consultation, communication, and relationship building. He or she will combine these soft skills with in-depth knowledge and insight and be able to establish him or herself as a trusted advisor to the business and IT Leadership.
This is a director-level position.
Job ResponsibilitiesLead Cloud CoE, comprising core Governance and Strategy functions, as well as tactical functions for cloud capability development and operationsBe accountable for the overall strategy and performance of Cloud CoERepresent the Cloud CoE to Global TechnologyCollaborate with Procurement to manage vendor relationshipsAccountable for cloud talent strategy and managementAccountable for ensuring cloud financials are managed per SteerCo directionLead executive discussions on SaaS vendor governance and strategyDrive FinOps Strategy and functionDrive Cloud Security StrategyDrive Cloud Automation and DevOps StrategyDrive Multi-Cloud StrategyWork with the Cloud Service Portfolio Lead to ensure new cloud services are developed and operated in an efficient mannerReports to Enterprise Architecture Tech Arch leadResponsible for defining the cross-functional priorities and imperatives of the Cloud CoE to be enforced in new cloud services (e.g., security, financial performance, reporting, monitoring, etc…)Understand customer demand and expectations from stakeholders, and appropriately plan for service development and deliveryUnderstand business strategy and priorities (i.e., strategic capabilities), and work with Global Technology groups to align the cloud strategy Maintain knowledge of industry trends and utilize this knowledge to educate both IT and the business on opportunities to build better target architectures that support the business strategyOversee development of cross-functional technical services, including DevOps pipelines, test automation, infrastructure as code, digital-self-serviceSupport vendor reviews, including vetting Application and Integration and SaaS vendorsMaintain knowledge of industry trends and utilize this knowledge to educate both IT and the business on opportunities to build better target architectures that support and drive business decisionsSupport IT Enterprise governance functions (RFI’s, vendor risk assessments, etc…) Job Requirements15+ years of IT experienceInvolvement multiple end-to-end enterprise solution programs5+ years’ experience in cloud technologies and/or governance, preferably Microsoft Azure3+ years involved in enterprise cloud strategy3+ years’ experience involved in enterprise cloud leadership and governance2+ years’ experience in Cloud FinOpsExperience in writing and defending business casesExperience in governing vendors, especially cloud service vendorsStrong knowledge of cloud security technologies and strategiesAbility to articulate the value propositions of cloud implementationsAbility to articulate the risks and challenges of cloud implementationsAbility to conceptualize complex ideas into technology strategiesAbility to translate and map organization needs to existing enterprise capabilities.
