Your impact:
As a Cloud Deal Desk Manager , you will be responsible for drafting and negotiating cloud service agreements including product schedules and orders with associated terms and conditions working alongside our legal department, finance and revenue recognition. As a member of the commercial cloud contracts team, you will be working closely with our deal managers and sales to ensure that our business grows and risk is reduced, whilst meeting corporate policies and audit requirements. In addition, you will work cross-functionally on new & existing services both during release and post release on updates and deal specifics. You will be given opportunities to expand your role and take on more responsibilities as you grow at OpenText.
What the role offers:
Review and understand the OpenText Cloud Business models & policies.Review and make recommendations for improvements to the Cloud Service agreements including product schedules and associated orders.Communicate efficiently and concisely with customers and colleagues.Communicate contractual requirements and solutions to draft contractual language that meets all stakeholder requirements.Ensure alignment with customers and colleagues.Negotiate agreements with customers and sales, whilst protecting the business and following policies.Analyse complex customer contracts to identify areas of risk and where policies need to be applied.Partnering with cross-functional deal teams to negotiate highly complex, specialized cloud deals.Drive other contract management duties, as needed, including developing new or enhancing existing processes.Work as a lead contributor individually, and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others as needed/requested.Other responsibilities, as assigned to ensure proper coverage.
What you need to succeed:
5+ years of experience in sales-side contractual generation and negotiation, ideally for private cloud managed services & SaaS cloud services.BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Economics, Operations, or Pre-Law focusMaster’s degree and/or Professional designation (in Legal, Finance) an advantage.Experience with legal agreements.Fluent in English, both written & verbal. Additional languages a plus, particularly fluency in French, both written & verbal, but not required.Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and analytical communication skills.Self-motivated and driven.Ability to present and negotiate with internal senior executives and lawyers as well as customer procurement and business.Ability to manage relationships with global cross-functional deal teams, including executive leaders.Excellent stakeholder management.Ability to quickly pivot and work effectively under time critical deadlines.Organized, detail oriented, and time management skills.Prior experience in tech industry preferred.
