The Cloud Design Architect position provides cloud integration and design duties on a cloud platform function. This position will lead all the Merger and Acquisition efforts for Emerson supported cloud platforms and help research, test, and build standard templated approaches for the deployment of new services onto Emerson’s secured foundation and landing zones across various cloud providers. 

In addition, this position assists the team’s architects with solution efforts for new Emerson product deployments on the public cloud. 

In this role your responsibilities will be

Communicate optimally with the Engagement requestor/PMO to gather and understand requirements. Craft the solution based on these requirements, estimate implementation time, and create transition documentation. Collaborate with Transition, Operations, and Security teams to manage and resolve enterprise-level service interruptions. Re-evaluate the Enterprise Infrastructure and suggest service improvement areas as needed. Build service offering framework and enablement documentation. Collaborate with FinOps teams to ensure the suggested solutions are efficient.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technology/engineering field. A minimum of 5 to 8 years of proven work experience in cloud technologies specifically on infrastructure design and architecture Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect & AWS Certified: Solutions Architect Associate/ professional is must Experience in leading acquisition and divestiture projects for cloud platforms In-depth experience with application deployment, troubleshooting and production support  Knowledge with container technologies, e.g. AKS, EKS etc.  Excellent communications and collaboration skills  

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: 

CompTia Cloud+, Network+ and/or Security+ preferred  Azure Administrator Associate certification would be nice to have Azure networking
