Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Cloud Engineer on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission.

Responsibilities Supports data collection from a large, complex server and network infrastructure and user base.Possesses a strong work ethic, be self-directed, and be a detail-oriented professional.Willing to learn and adapt to new, cutting-edge technologies.Willing to document work and participate in the customer's change procedures.Possesses excellent time management skills and the drive to work unsupervised.Must be a team player; willing to both share knowledge and learn from others to ensure the team's success.Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems. Architects, builds, maintains Hadoop, and other cloud infrastructureApplies Configuration Management disciplines to maintain hardware/software revisions, security patches, hardening, and documentationDevelops and directs the development of content for a complex and growing infrastructure. This includes use cases for Dashboards, Active Channels, Reports, Rules, Filters, Trends, and Active ListsProvides guidance to security analyst and network engineering staffWorks closely with C&A Team to maintain Security requirements for Operation of IEC systemsSupports all aspects of NCE's Security Information and Event Management initiative.Supports the establishment, enhancement, and continual improvement of an integrated set of correlation rules, alerts, searches, reports, and responses.Coordinates and conducts event collection, log management, event management, compliance automation, and identity monitoring activities for the customer's system.Performs routine equipment checks and preventative maintenancePerforms systems hardening to DoD StandardsMaintains up to date documentation of designs/configurationsCreates shell and perl scripts to facilitate automated tasksWorks with other Service Providers to support areas of common interestWorks with software and hardware vendorsDemonstrated ability to use problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis to resolve issues. Degree and Years of Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
5+ years of experienceRequired Skills:
Experience with public clouds such as AWS, Google, RackspaceExperience with private clouds such as VMWare, OpenStackExperience with HadoopExperience as a system architect/administrator/operator in a production environmentKnowledge of IAAS, PAAS and/or SAAS cloud technologies.Knowledge of network technologies (MPLS, routing protocols, forwarding), common infrastructure components (IPAM, DNS, DHCP), load balancers, firewalls, virtual and physical infrastructure designExperience with hypervisors such as VMware ESXi, Citrix XenServer, Microsoft Hyper-VSpecific Duties and ResponsibilitiesCloud platformAdvanced knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques.Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipmentDemonstrated ability to use problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis to resolve issues.Desired Skills:
Strong background in Unix, Solaris, or Windows serversScripting skillsDesired Certifications:
