Job Description
Chubb has embarked on a transformation journey to enhance our underwriting capabilities and develop into a leading Underwriting Engineering and Data Analytics company. Cloud Platform is one of the key enablers for digital transformation. As part of the continued transformation, Chubb is increasing the pace of application transformation into containers and cloud adoption.
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer who can be part of this exciting journey at Chubb. The successful candidate will have firsthand experience with container platforms (Kubernetes), cloud platforms (Azure), and software development and DevOps enablement through automation and Infrastructure as code. As an experienced Cloud Engineer, the candidate will be a member of the CloudOps team responsible for the management, maintenance, and support of our global Cloud and Kubernetes platform. The candidate will participate with Cloud Engineering team to develop and rollout new features and services.
Responsibilities Work with Engineering teams to standardize on the Monitoring logging framework. Build automation in the science logic platform to integrate with Azure Monitor. Provide operational support for the Azure Infrastructure including PaaS and IaaS Operational support of the Kubernetes platform (on-prem) as well as Azure (AKS) Implement automation and self-service capabilities using CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure. Manage Incidents and Change Requests from Application teams for Kubernetes and Azure. Manage the content of Knowledge Base articles aimed at our users and facilitate training sessions to educate them on offered services and automation capabilities. the end user collaboration using village site and conduct regular sessions to educate end users on services and automation capabilities. Identify repeatable manual tasks and build automations to replace them. Support escalations from App teams and provide assistance during major production issues from an operation perspective. Manage day-to-day ServiceNow queue ensuring incidents are assigned and worked upon. Participate in global Cloud Engineering on-call rotation to provide assistance during major production issues from an engineering perspective.
Qualifications Key Requirements Experience with large cloud transformation projects preferably in Azure. Experience of Change and Incident management through ITIL tools such as ServiceNow. Experience with cloud platform (preferably Azure). Worked with IAM, Loadbalancers, AppGateway, NSG, Storage Account, KeyVault and/or HashiCorp Vault. Writing Infrastructure as code and pipelines preferably using terraform, ansible, Bash and Jenkins and provide test automation. Ability to work in both windows and Linux environment with Containers platform such as Kubernetes, AKS, EKS DevOps experience with ability to use Github, Jenkins and Nexus for pipeline automation and artefact management. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as SL, ELK and Prometheus and Azure Monitor Experience of Change and Incident management through ITIL tools such as ServiceNow Excellent problem determination skills, the ability to debug complex-cross system problems, and document root cause including remediation, detection, and avoidance.
Education and Qualification Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience Proven record supporting IT operations, Azure, and Kubernetes Desirable: Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes Certifications
