**Description** SAIC is seeking a **Cloud Engineer** located in **Sterling Heights, MI** to support the **Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC)** contract to develop and automate our core Infrastructure as Code (IaC). **JOB DESCRIPTION:** + Develop, plan, and integrate new solutions with a focus on key DevSecOps practices in Cloud engineering + Provide detailed, operational system engineering documentation for SAIC Cloud customers, including RunBooks, Concepts of Operations, process documentation, and architecture diagrams + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the design, deployment, and management of cloud and hybrid-cloud environments + Drive continuous improvement to optimize development, operations, service delivery, and customer satisfaction using data-driven insights + Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements, implement robust security controls, and conduct regular audits + Manage risks and incidents through effective incident and problem management, performing root cause analysis and taking preventive actions + Work with stakeholders to identify and implement automation and orchestration opportunities to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and reduce manual efforts **Qualifications** **REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:** + Bachelor's and nine (9) years or more experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree + Extensive experience in Cloud Engineering with a deep understanding of cloud-native technologies and services such as Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud One, ect. + Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or other modern software development practices + Experience supporting software projects throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) + Knowledge of Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) capabilities and DevSecOps principles **REQUIRED CERTIFICATION:** + Must be able to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification, such as Security+ CE, CySA+, CASP+, OR CISSP within 30 days of hire **REQUIRED CLEARANCE:** + Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain + Must be a current US Citizen SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
