Cloud Engineer
Description We are offering a contract for a Cloud Engineer position in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Operating within the tech industry, this role calls for a proficient individual to manage, secure, and maintain our entire environment, with a focus on cloud technology. Responsibilities: • Designing and deploying our infrastructure in line with company needs and industry standards. • Implementing automation systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Monitoring our IT environment and ensuring all systems are functioning optimally. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives. • Providing guidance and support to team members to foster skill development and problem-solving. • Managing the security of our IT environment, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations. • Utilizing tools such as Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon EC2, Ansible, Atlassian Jira, Auto Scaling, and others as necessary. • Engaging in API development tasks to improve communication between systems. • Ensuring the latest AWS technologies are leveraged for optimal performance and efficiency. • Utilizing backup technologies and cluster analysis to safeguard data and maintain system performance. Requirements • Proficiency in Amazon CloudWatch is a must for real-time monitoring and operational health insights. • Thorough knowledge of Amazon EC2 for scalable and secure compute capacity in the cloud. • Expertise in Ansible to automate apps and IT infrastructure. • Familiarity with Atlassian Jira for tracking issues and project management. • Understanding of Auto Scaling to maintain application availability and manage costs. • Experience in API Development for creating, publishing, maintaining, monitoring, and securing APIs. • Strong background in Automation to increase efficiency and improve reliability of tasks. • Proficient in AWS Technologies to build and manage applications in the cloud. • Knowledge in Backup Technologies for data protection and disaster recovery. • Experience in Cluster Analysis for examining data and grouping objects based on information found.
