Cloud Engineer
Description We are in search of a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team in the financial services industry located in San Antonio, Texas. The Cloud Engineer will play a crucial role in designing and delivering scalable infrastructure and platforms, incorporating infrastructure-as-code automation technologies. This role also involves staying current with technological trends and testing new technology offerings. This role provides an opportunity for a contract to permanent employment. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand product offerings and provide innovative technology recommendations and solutions. • Develop and implement scalable infrastructure and platforms for inventive cloud solutions and services, incorporating infrastructure-as-code automation technologies like CloudFormation, Terraform, and more. • Perform complex systems development and design work, including logic and architecture design for cloud computing. • Stay updated with technology trends and new technologies, as they become available. • Propose the usage and integration of the latest technology standards. • Conduct research, test and engineer new technology offerings. • Develop models for leveraging cloud computing services. • Validate and test the security, performance, scalability, and resilience of systems to meet corporate standards and security requirements. • Provide support for cloud systems, identify, analyze, and resolve system problems. • Foster cloud computing expertise within the enterprise to drive cloud adoption. • Prepare and present innovation project status and recommendations to business and IT partners. • Participate in on-call rotation after-hours to ensure system stability and performance. Requirements • Proficiency in Amazon CloudWatch and Amazon EC2 is essential for this role. • Familiarity with Ansible and Atlassian Jira is required. • Experience with Auto Scaling is a significant advantage. • Demonstrated ability in API Development and Automation is crucial. • Sound knowledge of AWS Technologies is essential. • Must be well-versed in Backup Technologies. • Experience in Cluster Analysis is desirable. • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure is required. • Familiarity with Linux Technologies is a significant advantage, as well as fundamental programming in Powershell, .net, or NodeJS.
