The Chevron ENGINE IT department contains platform teams who are members of the four Petro technical digital platforms and IT Foundation Platform including Surface, Subsurface, Wells (Drilling), and Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), and IT Foundation Digital (ITFP). These teams operate in a matrix environment with priorities determined by global Product Owners and Product Managers.

About the Position:

The Chevron ENGINE Cloud Engineer - HPC Windows is a key technical engineer accountable for delivery and support of products and services to Chevron workforce. The product team is part of the HPC Product line within the IT Foundation Digital Platform. This Product line is responsible for digital delivery and support of HPC products and services to the Chevron Enterprise.

The Role: As a Cloud Engineer - HPC Windows you are responsible for providing application and infrastructure solutions that support complex, compute intensive workloads, parallel filesystems, low latency networks, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML). The successful candidate will partner with scientists, engineers, and other HPC PL experts to deliver HPC solutions that fully leverage the computing resources on premises and in the cloud.

Key responsibilities:

Design, implementation, and support of Windows technical workstations.

Implementation of automation of system management, maintenance, and monitoring.

Troubleshooting, incident, and problem management.

Performance monitoring and optimization.

Level 3 end-user support (technical escalation).

Collaboration with IT Foundation Platform Workforce Enablement Product Line and MSP partners.

Ensure all technical solutions are aligned with the vision, principles, architecture, and standards defined by the relevant architecture teams while ensuring information protection and data privacy

Required qualification:

The preferred candidate will have knowledge and at least 5 years experience in Windows, cloud, and storage system administration experience in a large-scale enterprise environment plus one or more of the following areas: VMware ESXi, Windows virtual workstations and servers, Azure virtual machines, Azure networking, Azure NetApp Files (ANF), NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO), underlying infrastructure supporting Oil and Gas applications, and configuration management technologies (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Numecent, PowerShell, Ansible, and Python).

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or comparable field
