Cloud Engineering Intern

 Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate with application and infrastructure observability solutions to ensure optimal application availability, reliability, and performance.  Partner with Engineering teams to identify, develop, deploy, and maintain reliable systems and services.  Assist in sustaining a high level of reliability and performance in our cloud infrastructure.  Update and maintain technical documentation, workflows, and knowledgebase articles.  Participate in incident management and root cause analysis to improve system reliability.  Implement and monitor metrics and logging systems to detect and resolve issues proactively.  Contribute to the automation of repetitive tasks to enhance operational efficiency.  Engage in continuous learning and improvement to stay updated with industry best practices.  Knowledge of object-oriented or structured query languages such as JavaScript, Python, SQL, and DQL. 

 

Required Education and Experience

In pursuit of a bachelor's degree or graduate-level degree in a relevant business area.  3.0 GPA or higher.  Junior, Senior and graduate-level students. 

 

Preferred Education and Experience

Previous internship experience is nice to have, but not necessarily required.  Passion for solving technological challenges and improving IT systems. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.   Ability to thrive in a fast paced, highly collaborative and cross-functional team setting.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Experience in Microsoft Office Suite - PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, Excel.
