**Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Senior, Mid-level)**
_Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer-_
Job Summary:
+ Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud-based infrastructure solutions, ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost efficiency by utilizing cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Develops and presents recommendations and options to leadership. Analyzes and resolves complex issues related public cloud infrastructure engineering and operations, system software, storage management, backup methodology, virtualization, monitoring and management tools, business continuity, high availability solutions, provide cloud services estimates and implements public cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions. Analyzes, coordinates, and implements infrastructure projects.
+ Monitors system performance and capacity and provides periodic system status reports to department management and provides proactive remediation. Analyzes reports to identify trends and opportunities for process and technology enhancements and coordinates system enhancements with architectural team. Provides cost and trend analysis and resolutions to critical cloud Infrastructure problems.
Responsibilities:
+ PLAN:
+ Develop and manage IT cloud infrastructure including capacity planning, and cost management
+ Develop, document, provide recommendations, and communicate plans for investing in IT cloud infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities
+ Work with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to analyze requirements and design technical solutions to meet various healthcare and research community needs.
+ Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility
+ DECIDE:
+ Recommend appropriate technologies for the technology domain(s) within the scope of responsibility.
+ DELIVER:
+ Provide Stable, Secure, and Efficient IT Operations for a Hybrid Cloud environment
+ Anticipate, mitigate, identify, respond to, and resolve problems affecting cloud systems performance, efficiency, and availability
+ Develop and manage IT cloud infrastructure including capacity planning, and cost management
+ Manage and supports Windows and Linux infrastructure in a Hybrid Cloud environment
+ Service, incident, and change request ticket management
+ Provide on-call and after-hours support to address incidents, maintain infrastructure and support operational efforts
+ Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization
+ COLLABORATE:
+ Work closely with architects and stakeholders to ensure that infrastructure initiatives are successfully implemented.
+ Work closely with network, security, development, application, and support teams in the implementation of cloud infrastructure components that support emerging technologies and applications
+ CONSULT:
+ Serves as liaison between operations and architecture teams
+ Escalation point for server and operations teams
+ Review proposed designs/architectures, identifying risks and providing remediation recommendations in line with established standards and the enterprise’s overall architecture.
+ Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures

Certifications:
+ Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (Required)
+ Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate AWS Certified Developer- Associate (Required)
+ AWS Certified SysOps Administrator- Asspciate (Required)
+ Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect- Expert (Preferred)
+ AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Associate (Preferred)
Education/Experience:
+ H.S. Diploma/ GED (Required)
+ 5+ years of public and private cloud engineering experience (Required)
+ 10+ years of information technology experience (Required)
+ Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
+ Master's degree (Preferred)
Skills & Abilities:
+ Experience with AWS, Azure IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS services
+ Experience with one or more of the following scripting languages: PowerShell, Python, Json, preferred
+ Experience collaboratively analyzing requirements, designing and implementing technical solutions across both private and public cloud technology spectrums
+ Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure involving significant differences in technologies, techniques, procedures, environmental factors, physical demands, or work situations.
