Cloud Migration Engineer
**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Designing, planning, and implementing the migration of applications, databases, and workloads to our cloud infrastructure with a preference of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) + Ensure seamless transitions by developing migration strategies, configuring environments, and optimizing performance post-migration + Work closely with application owners and collaborators to assess technical requirements, troubleshoot issues + Implement standard processes for scalability, security, and compliance in our cloud foundation **Who You Are:** You are fact-based but open minded, curious and have a technical mentality. You communicate in a clear, open, and respectful manner. **For This Role, You Will Need:** + Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related technology/engineering discipline preferred, or equivalent experience required + 4 years of demonstrated work experience in cloud technologies; Experience in supporting applications in public cloud environments and working requests and incidents from ticket queues + Experience working in a network and/or cybersecurity discipline, 1 or more years with direct working experience with OCI + Knowledge on cloud technologies; Proven experience with building SaaS/PaaS/IaaS workloads and installing applications + Understanding of cloud traffic flow logs and firewall policies; Fundamental understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) processes using Terraform + Excellent communications and collaboration skills **Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:** + Understanding the core concepts and services of AWS and Azure + Proven experience in IT migration projects, including data and application migrations. + Solid understanding of cloud architecture and deployment models. + Works effectively in a global environment. **Our Offer to You:** By joining Emerson, you will be given the opportunity to make a difference through the work you do.
