JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Director, IT Operations & Platform Support, the Cloud Network Architect, will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing our network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline our development and deployment processes while optimizing network performance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, deploy, and maintain robust network architectures considering the business functional and security requirements.Implement and manage automation tools and frameworks to enhance network provisioning and configuration.Collaborate with software development teams to integrate networking requirements into the DevOps pipeline.Using performance reporting proactively roadmap requirements to ensure optimal upgrade or downgrade timing.Develop and maintain documentation and templating for network architecture frameworks, processes, and procedures.Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve our network infrastructure.Design and Roadmap the utilization of Azure Network Architecture Elements including but not limited to Firewalls, Azure VPN Gateways and NVAs. Support Security Policies, ensuring Network Architecture Elements to align to security requirements and intent using NSGs & ASGs, Firewall rules, and RBAC.Understand and Support CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.

 

KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

10+ years’ experience in IT administration/engineering roles1-3 years’ experience in Azure administration/engineering1-3 years’ experience in Azure Network Architecture roleBachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or other related field (or equivalent work experience)Broad exposure to IT infrastructure and application landscape ideally with technical depth in Cloud platformsExperience in day-to-day operations in Azure PlatformCustomer service: experience working with users to understand and resolve issuesEmpathetic listening: the ability to convince the user considering what he/she is experiencingProven experience 5 years as a Network Engineer, preferably in a DevOps or similar environment.Strong proficiency in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.Hands-on experience deploying IOC with Terraform.Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and network tasks.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, DevOps certifications) are a plus.
