Position Information

 

 

Position Overview

The Cloud Network Engineer position oversees the installation, configuration and maintenance of networked information systems and telecommunications systems in HealthStream’s 24/7 high-capacity corporate on-premises and cloud environments.  This position provides day-to-day operational support network and telecom infrastructure functions, and should display excellent technical problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of network and telecommunications and strong understanding of CLOUD/LAN/WAN networking

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.

Install, configure and maintain network services, equipment and devices, production infrastructure systems and devices for both On-Premises and Cloud

Thorough troubleshooting skills

Ability and desire to thoroughly learn new technologies quickly

On-call pager/phone on rotational basis

Off-hours scheduled downtimes that may require overnight work-hours

Occasional travel to production Datacenter, involving overnight stays (usually no more than 1-2 nights but sometimes longer) required.

Provide Tier II and other support per request from various constituencies.  Investigate and troubleshoot issues.

Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.

Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.

Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. 

Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.

Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all infrastructure resources, and key processes, reviewing system logs

Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.

Contribute to and maintain system standards

Develop and maintain cloud network infrastructure in both AWS and Azure
