About the job
As a Cloud Operations Engineer you will be a part of our support engineering team in Gdańsk focusing on maintenance, support, and deployment of Arla’s cloud-based Data Foundation. Your role will ensure the operational stability while continuously improving our processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure operationalization of developments by integrating needs early in the DevOps cycle. Share and document knowledge for team and future resources. Provide technical feedback and improvements to our operational practices. Contribute to the stability and innovation of Arla’s Data Foundation architecture. Review and approve platform contributor work, including code and deployments. Minimize service interruptions and enhance DevOps pipelines with automation. Innovate and develop new monitoring methods and insights for our platform. Implement enhancements to improve the functionality and performance of supported solutions.
Essential Competencies:
Solid experience with cloud-based services, particularly in Azure environments (Azure Data Fac-tory, Azure Event Hub, Azure Data Lake, Databricks/Spark, and related services). Proficiency in Python, Java, .NET, or other programming languages. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially Terraform. SQL proficiency and experience with relational and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with data modeling techniques and data pipeline technologies. Experience with Git, branching strategies, and container-based deployments. Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline development and deployments.
Nice-to-Have Competencies:
Experience with Apache Spark and RESTful API services. Familiarity with streaming data pipelines, messaging queues, and serverless components. Hands-on experience with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies. Knowledge of software design principles and various databases (e.g., MSSQL, CosmosDB, Post-greSQL).
About You:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in cloud services, particularly within the Azure ecosystem. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills in English. Ability to thrive in a self-managing, collaborative environment. Forward-thinking and adaptable with a keen interest in data technologies.
Please note that this role requires you to be in the office 50% of the time + one additional day (monthly).
