The Cloud Sales Specialist team is a global overlay sales team working with our enterprise sales organization to deliver the industry’s first enterprise data cloud. Cloudera Data Platform, or CDP, will enable customers to define, develop, and deploy their next-generation cloud platform.

 

Responsibilities:

Be part of the growing EMEA cloud team working with sales to evangelise and shape customer decisions to buy and adopt Cloudera Data Platform (CDP), serving as a product specialist, trusted advisor for end customers and field sales teams.

Support the region's key customers as they go on their CDP journey with activities ranging from Initial conversations and positioning through to helping them overcome blockers

Be responsible for driving Cloud consumption across the region, supporting customers as they strive for efficiencies, agility and competitive advantage by adopting Cloud technologies.

Drive sales and adoption through sales-led activities such as targeted account planning, account management and replicating product success at scale

Influence CDP strategies by providing feedback to sales, marketing, and product/engineering on current and future product requirements.

Participate with internal Cloudera communities and play a visible role for the industry events and conferences.

 

Qualifications:

7+ Years experience articulating and selling complex enterprise platforms in one of the following capacities:

Technical Consulting / Delivery

Enterprise / Solution Architecture

Technical sales / Pre Sales

Experience positioning and selling across:

Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud

SaaS platforms and public cloud infrastructure technology 

Excellent knowledge of cloud-based architectures and high-performance distributed systems including SAAS, IAAS, PAAS and Containers.

Be able to identify and build business use cases that support the adoption of our technology

Deep understanding and hands-on knowledge of cloud (Private, Public, Hybrid)  deployments including the challenges and blockers organizations face

Data & Analytics Experience (Data Warehousing, Machine Learning)

BA/BS or equivalent educational background

Ability to travel – EMEA wide

In Addition have experience of :

Building and presenting TCO models

Building Content, both Customer facing and internal

Account Planning and execution planning
