Cloud Security Architect

Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesOur organization seeks a Cloud Security Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of data, applications, and infrastructure within our cloud environment. The Cloud Security Architect will work closely with our IT and security teams to define and implement security policies and procedures, manage security incidents, and provide security training to employees and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Represent the Information Security team in applicable Cloud Centers of Excellence and/or Steering Committees.Secure cloud environments and architectures that meet the security needs of the organization. This includes selecting appropriate cloud services, defining security controls, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.Identify and assess security risks associated with cloud platforms. Implement risk mitigation strategies to reduce potential threats to cloud infrastructure and services.Develop and manage incident response playbooks for cloud security breaches. This includes detecting, responding to, and recovering from cloud security incidents.Ensure that cloud environments comply with relevant regulations, standards, and internal governance policies. This includes audits, certifications, and regulatory requirements.Implement security controls to protect the cloud environment from cyberthreats, such as firewalls, endpoint security, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and enforcing encryption.Guide employees and stakeholders to ensure they are aware of security best practices and understand their role in protecting the cloud environment.Assist with organization-wide information security strategy, aligned with the business objectives in the cloud.Prioritization of security optimization efforts across the cloud landscape by identifying opportunities for automation to streamline security across cloud platforms.Stay up to date with the latest security trends, threats, and vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for improving the security posture of the cloud environment.What You Need to SucceedQualifications: 5+ years of experience in a SOC, Cloud Security, IT, or related cybersecurity field 5+ years of experience in Azure, AWS, Alibaba, or other cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS)5+ years of experience in utilizing cloud security solutions, EDR, and posture management products.5+ years of experience with security frameworks such as NIST 800-171, MITRE, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple time zones is essential.
