Cloud Security Engineer
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled **Cloud Security Engineer** to join our team and play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud security solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud security frameworks, best practices, and compliance requirements across major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). The candidate must be an expert in understanding all cloud services and their security controls. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of cloud environments and drive continuous improvement. **Job Description** + The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud security frameworks, best practices, and compliance requirements across major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). + Expert in understanding all cloud services and their security controls. + This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of cloud environments and drive continuous improvement. + You will have technical hands-on experience in Cloud Services and knowledge of adding security controls for AWS, Azure. + Design, implement, and maintain cloud security solutions, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements. + Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices across multi-cloud environments. + Stay current with emerging cloud security threats, technologies, and best practices to provide thought leadership. + Conduct threat analysis and identify security gaps, presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders. + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience). + 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or architecture roles. + Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, including security tools and services. + Must be an expert in Cloud Domains covering Data Protection, Encryption, Logging & Monitoring. + Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIS, CSA CCM) and regulatory compliance. + Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates. + Hands-on experience with cloud-native security services (AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, GCP Security Command Center). + Strong understanding of network security, /data protection, encryption, logging and monotiling methodologies + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. + Certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CISSP, or CCSP are preferred. **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience). + 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or architecture roles. + Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, including security tools and services. + Must be an expert in Cloud Domains covering Data Protection, Encryption, Logging & Monitoring. + Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIS, CSA CCM) and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS). + Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates. + Hands-on experience with cloud-native security services (AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, GCP Security Command Center). + Strong understanding of network security, encryption methodologies, and application security. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. + Certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CISSP, or CCSP are preferred. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Knowledge of security monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK Stack, NetSkope. + Can review security controls for Terraform, CDK module. **Salary:** $87,000.00 - $161,400.00 **Pay Type:** Salaried The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
